Text Message Banking
Get easy access to your RTP FCU account balances and transactions right on your mobile phone. It's the fastest way to get your balances — anytime, anywhere. Best of all, it’s FREE!*
Step 1 — Login and activate
- Go to our home page to login to Home Banking. You must have a Home Banking account to use Text Message Banking. For information on how to sign-up for Home Banking click here.
- Find and click on the "Mobile Banking & Alerts" menu link.
- Find and click the "Activate" button.
Step 2 — Set up your phone (make sure you have it with you)
- Enter your cell phone number.
- A text message with a unique activation code will be sent to your phone. Enter this activation code in the pop-up window inside Home Banking.
- Once verified, select your preferences and you’re done. If you like, you can activate additional phone numbers by repeating these steps.
Step 3 — Start texting to 454545
Now with your phone set up, just send a text message command (listed below) to 454545, and we'll send the response right back to your phone. It's just like texting a friend! It’s also a good idea to save the number 454545 into your contacts so your Text Message Banking is easy to find.
· BAL = Primary account balance
· BAL ALL = All account balances
· BAL CHK = Checking account balances
· BAL SAV = Savings account balances
· LAST = Last five transactions
· TRANS (AMT) = Transfer specified amount to primary account
· STOP = Deactivate service
· HELP = Help on commands
Your information is safe
Not only is Text Message Banking fast and free*, it’s secure. You must first login to Home Banking, our secure online banking site, and have your phone in your possession in order to complete enrollment. We never send confidential information such as member numbers, passwords or complete account numbers via text message.Should you ever have your phone lost or stolen, simply login to Home Banking and deactivate the service for that phone.
