Website Policy

RTP Federal Credit Union (RTP FCU) is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and other users of this website. As with information we collect through other means, RTP FCU discloses the information we collect as permitted by law to service providers with whom we have joint marketing agreements; third party vendors to help us conduct our business, administer our products and services and provide product information; and when legally required. All information collected by or on behalf of the credit union will be used in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which is available to you here or by requesting a printed copy. The amount and type of information we receive depends on how you use our site:

Website Only Users
You can visit RTP Federal Credit Union’s website without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information if you want to read valuable information about our products, services, promotions or to use our online tools. The only information we collect and store during website only usage is non-personal information for the express purpose of tracking website use in order to improve design, service, and/or site navigation tools.
 
Online Banking Services
Nonpublic personal information may be collected when a credit union member registers to use RTP FCU’s secure online services, which includes but is not limited to Home Banking, Bill Payment and Presentment, Mobile Banking, and online applications. Online forms and applications that allow completion and online submission will only be executed in a secured site environment. Personal information provided by a user via any of the credit union’s online forms is used only to process the member’s request for service.
 
Email
RTP Federal Credit Union does not sell or provide any member information to list services, telemarketing firms, or outside companies for their independent use. Please note that e-mail is not a secure method of contact. You should NEVER provide information that is sensitive or confidential through unsecured e-mail. We ask that you do not use e-mail to send sensitive information such as your member number, social security number, or PIN to us. If you have questions concerning your account which would require providing this type of sensitive information, you should contact the credit union by telephone, postal mail or in person. 

Important: RTP Federal Credit Union and companies in general will not communicate with you by phone/text or e-mail to request important personal information such as a PIN, account number, date of birth, or social security number. You should never provide confidential information via e-mail or text and you should also never click on a link or attachment unless you initiated communication with us initially.

 
Third Party Link Notice
RTP Federal Credit Union has provided links to Internet sites maintained by third parties, over which the credit union has no control. If you follow a link to another website from any of our website pages, you are leaving our site and we cannot be held responsible for any information that may be gathered at a linked site. Please note:
  • RTP FCU is not endorsing or guaranteeing the products, information, or recommendations provided by linked sites.
  • The credit union is not liable for any failure of products or services advertised on those sites.

Service Providers
We use third party vendors to provide Home Banking, Bill Payment and Presentment, Mobile Banking and online loan applications/decisions on our website. When you sign up for these services, we will share nonpublic personal information as necessary for the third party to provide that service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
 
Marketing Solicitations
RTP Federal Credit Union may solicit personal information from members on a voluntary basis. This information will be used for a specific promotion or to enable the credit union to contact members with additional information about our products and services or about products/services from providers with whom we have joint marketing agreement.
 
Online Security
Security is of utmost importance for RTP Federal Credit Union and our business partners. Our security efforts are evidenced throughout our infrastructure. Investments have been made for third party assessments, virus protection, network scanners, password management, firewalls, encryption, 24/7 intrusion monitoring and facilities security.
